Bertha Gonzaba

Bertha is a native of San Antonio receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas-San Antonio BBA/Marketing and her Graduate Degree from Our Lady of the Lake University MBA. She has worked for two progressive companies HEB Grocery Company and Starbucks Coffee Company. She recently retired after a 24-year career with Starbucks Coffee Company with which she was instrumental in the growth and expansion of the company in both Central and South Texas.

Bertha became involved with Tecaboca when her youngest son began his ACTS journey. She spent many a HOT summer out at Tecaboca as an Adult team member for St. Matthews Teen ACTS. Bertha remembers the connection she developed with the mission of the camp as she witnessed the Teens spiritual growth unfold. 

She and her husband have been active in both their Church Parish/School of St. Matthews along with the ACTS Community.  She held the position of Board President for ACTS Missions and continues to stay involved with the ministry through fundraising and support. Louis her husband has been President of St. Matthew ACTS Core and currently sits on the Parish Council. 

Bertha and Louis have 3 adult children and welcomed their first Grandchild, Mateo, in December of 2019 and have spent this last year watching him grow. He is the light of their lives.
