After studying English and Psychology at Chaminade University of Honolulu, Ani started her career in secondary education volunteering for two years teaching at a Jesuit International school in Chuuk, Micronesia. After her time in the Pacific, Ani continued as a Marianist PULSE volunteer discovering her love for informal, outdoor, experiential education while serving as the RiverMobile Coordinator for the University of Dayton’s Rivers Institute educating local school children, church groups, or locals about the importance of Dayton’s rivers and watershed. When her service year was complete, Ani stayed in Dayton for a short while working at a homeless youth and young adult shelter mainly helping teach life skills to youth in a transitional housing program. Ani reconnected with the Marianists by coming to us at Tecaboca in 2018 joining the staff as the Program Director where she currently does her best to provide rich programs for summer campers and counselors, semester interns, retreat families, and retreatants of all kinds!
